Farmer and quilombola from Campinho da Independência, the first titled Quilombo in the history of Rio de Janeiro, is part of the National Commission for Agroecology and Organic Production (CNAPO), the Coordination Board of the Traditional Communities Forum (FCT) and the General Coordination of the Observatory of Sustainable and Healthy Territories of Bocaina.
