De Mamelodi was born in the capital of South Africa. Poet, author, musician, playwright, cultural and heritage activist, he is president and tutor of dramatic arts at the Arts and Culture Forum, general secretary of the Cosmopolitan collective and member of the KARA Heritage Institute and the African Spirituality Renaissance Movement.
